Blue Escape presents a surreal convergence of bodily and mythical forms. At its core, human legs emerge from a melting, watery boundary, supporting a fantastical blue landscape adorned with dragons, unicorns, owls, and floral elements. The upper half resembles a porcelain-like dome, referencing Eastern miniatures and Western fables alike. Nafiseh Moeini’s palette of rich blues intensifies the sense of magic and mystery, while the fluid transitions between skin, water, and myth blur the lines between real and imagined. This piece explores identity as a layered world—one carried, concealed, and always in motion.

About the artist:
Nafiseh Moeini holds an MA in General Psychology. Her autobiographical paintings and sculptures draw from Eastern literature and miniature painting while incorporating motifs from Western art. This fusion creates a unique, fantastical realm. Moeini has held three solo exhibitions across the Middle East, Switzerland, and the United States and has participated in numerous group shows.
