Description: In Fertility of the Goddess of Love, Yasaman Poorboshari transforms the classical image of the goddess into a serene, underwater realm. Draped in flowing robes and surrounded by graceful monarch butterflies, the goddess stands barefoot amidst a coral-like seabed. Above her, a giraffe reaches in from the edge of the scene, while a suspended acrobat drifts in a spherical bubble. Delicate air bubbles rise through the water, and in the foreground, a hand emerges holding a shell with two luminous pearls. The dreamlike tableau blends mythology, surrealism, and symbols of creation, evoking themes of fertility, transformation, and the continuity of life.
About the artist: Yasaman Pourboshari is a visual artist with a background in Management and certification as a children’s painting instructor, accredited by the Technical and Vocational Organization and the Ministry of Culture. She began her artistic journey at the age of 19, studying painting and art history. Deeply curious about visual storytelling and the emotional worlds of childhood, her work often explores the intersection of narrative, symbolism, and personal memory.
