In the Dust is a hauntingly expressive portrait suspended between presence and disappearance. Through sweeping brushstrokes and muted grays, the figure emerges partially—smoky, unresolved, and emotionally charged. Hints of blue offer a subtle breath of life, while the gesture of the hand and the obscured eyes suggest secrecy, introspection, or quiet resistance. Ziba Vishteh captures the fragility of identity in moments of erosion, evoking a sense of fading memory or existential stillness.

About the artist:
Ziba Vishteh (b. 1966) is an artist with academic backgrounds in Architecture and Psychology. She studied painting and design under renowned masters and pursued advanced training in calligraphy and Naqashi-khat. Since 2014, she has continued professional painting under Master Moslemian at Mah-e Mehr Institute. Vishteh held her first solo show in 2018 at Sa Art Gallery and has exhibited internationally, including a major show in India and a solo exhibition in the U.S. by invitation. Her work has twice been selected for the Fair Visual Arts Festival. She currently collaborates with Dorsa Home, Artabition, and Artyar.
