Nuclear River is a visually rich, dreamlike tapestry where symbolism flows as freely as the rivers within it. Nafiseh Moeini weaves together koi fish, mythological creatures, architectural fragments, and circuits to explore the tension between natural life and digital or radioactive intrusion. Drawing inspiration from Eastern miniature painting, she merges sacred motifs with pop-surrealist elements, creating a world where spiritual, ecological, and technological dimensions coexist in radiant conflict. About the artist:
Nafiseh Moeini holds an MA in General Psychology. Her autobiographical paintings and sculptures draw from Eastern literature and miniature painting while incorporating motifs from Western art. This fusion creates a unique, fantastical realm. Moeini has held three solo exhibitions across the Middle East, Switzerland, and the United States and has participated in numerous group shows.
