Description: The Guardian presents a standing figure with outstretched arms, embodying both fragility and strength. Designed as a candle holder, the flame resting on its head transforms the work into a ritualistic object that merges light and presence. Its raw, tactile surface contrasts with the expressive gesture of the body, evoking both protection and vulnerability.
About the Artist: Nadia Motaghi (b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, illustration, and painting. With an academic background in English literature and graphic design, as well as a diploma in graphic design, her work reflects a sharp visual literacy rooted in both language and form. Motaghi has led workshops in visual arts and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the Middle East. Her practice often explores the emotional dimensions of material, space, and movement through a poetic lens.
