Description: Two faces emerge—one black, one white—suspended like relics in a sea of absence. One gazes outward, the other turns away, both caught in an unresolved state of pain. Their presence suggests a fluidity of identity and gender, shaped by longing rather than definition. These dual portraits echo a silent cry for connection beyond fixed forms.
About the Artist: Ziba Vishteh is a multidisciplinary artist with academic backgrounds in Architecture and Psychology. Her work moves between portraiture and abstraction, using the human face not for resemblance but as a doorway to inner presence. She paints through a physical, intuitive process, where limited color becomes a vessel for emotional resonance. Vishteh views painting not as representation, but as an act of being. She has exhibited in solo and group shows across the Middle East and the U.S., including a 2019 solo exhibition in the U.S. curated by Professor Sheldon Hurst.
